Will Ferrell has repeatedly ruled out making a sequel for Elf, his festive 2004 comedy hit that rapidly became a seasonable staple. After the muted reaction to the belated Anchorman and Zoolander sequels in recent years, he may have a point… Yet despite Ferrell’s lack of enthusiasm, the appetite for an Elf 2 seems to grow stronger with every passing year.
