Toys R Us is offering quiet shopping hour for kids with autism this holiday season Let’s begin then with a story from a couple of weeks ago, which I never got round to. It concerns a Toys R Us store in the UK. Speaking to the Telegraph, marketing director Mike Coogan said “Making slight adjustments to stores and creating a quiet shopping period allows children and young adults to experience the fun in a toy shop, regardless of their disability”. This is regarding their plans to run quiet hours during the busy shopping period leading up to Christmas, so that kids with autism can come and browse without being upset by the noise.
