How Mendix Takes Cloud Foundry From An Apps Platform To ‘Business Engineering’

As the idea of deploying and managing applications at scale matures, it comes time for organizations to reconsider their business rationales. Staging their business operations on platforms means, at some level, moving their business models to those platforms as well — which could be more like a heart and lung transplant, rather than just the latter. Mendix CTO Johan den Haan told Alex Williams, during the last Cloud Foundry Summit in Santa Clara, that his company’s mobile apps development platform — built around a Cloud Foundry nucleus — is being engineered with this emerging fact in mind.
